You will need:
- A free Miomoto account
- The Miomoto web editor or desktop app
- Access to your account email address
- An approved AI trial and credits for cloud generation
For your first test, keep the project small: one imported asset, one generation, and one short export.
Work in the browser or on your desktop.
Web editor
Open app.usemoto.app in Chrome and sign in with your Miomoto account.
Desktop app
Sign in to the Miomoto user area to download the Mac or Windows build.
The desktop app is recommended for workflows using many local files. Some advanced features are desktop-only, while others offer a more complete workflow on desktop.
The web and desktop versions use the same Miomoto account and AI credits. Web projects are stored in the cloud, while desktop projects are stored locally. Projects are not automatically synchronized between versions.

Motion AI
Motion AI is available in the web editor, but its full workflow is currently better supported in the desktop app.
Match content to a new aspect ratio
Sign in
- Open Miomoto.
- Enter your Miomoto account email address.
- Select Send magic link.
- Open the email from Miomoto and follow the link.
- Return to the Miomoto app.
Use the same email address on the Miomoto website and in the desktop app.
Create a project
- Create a new project.
- Choose where to save it.
- Give the project a clear name.
- Import an image, video, audio file, or logo.
Miomoto projects are currently stored locally. Keep the project and its source media in a location you do not plan to move.
Start editing
- Add your imported media to the timeline.
- Move and trim the clip.
- Select the clip to view its settings.
- Preview the result.
Most editing controls depend on the selected timeline clip. When a control is missing, check that the correct clip is selected.
Generate something
Start with Text to Image.
- In a timeline layer, click the + button.
- Choose Text to Image and click Add.
- Select the new clip on the timeline.
- Enter your prompt in the effect panel.
- Click Run.
- When generation is complete, the image will appear in the clip.
Credits
Regular timeline editing does not use AI credits. You can import media, arrange clips, trim, preview, and organize your project without consuming generation credits.
AI workflows that create or transform images, video, audio, or motion may use credits. The cost depends on the selected workflow and settings.
Miomoto only starts a paid subscription after you complete checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.
Export
- Preview your timeline.
- Open Export.
- Choose a file name and destination folder.
- Select your quality and audio settings.
- Select Render.
- Open the exported file and check the result.
When creating another version, use a new file name so you can compare exports.
